1959 Chevrolet"All new all over again" was the claim by GM for their new 1959 Chevrolet. The styling certainly was all new and the most radical for Chevrolet to date. Especially the "bat wing" rear quarters that you have to either love or hate. The '59 was the last design for GM by the famous designer Harley Earl, who helped pioneer GM's styling and design studio back in the late 1920's. Chevrolet models for this year changed a little from 1958, dropping the Delray and Yeoman models, and adding the new station wagon models Parkwood and Kingswood. The newest addition to the 1959 line-up was the El Camino... was it a car or was it a pick-up truck? Or Both? Carried over from 1958 were the Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala, Nomad, and Brookwood models.
