When frame is paced on the line, the assembly operation begins. Workmen attach front end suspension units to frame. - Frame is automatically turned over from upside-down position. - Coil springs are compressed as frame moves down the line.

Chassis assembly is now complete and painted wheels are added. - Adjacent Fisher Body plant delivers bodies to Chevrolet assembly line. - Body meets chassis. - Front end takes shape as fender, grille and radiator are dropped into position.

Batteries , windsheild wipers and hub caps have been added. Lights and turn indicators are tested as assembly nears competion. - Sixty minutes ago this car's frame started on the line. Gasoline, oil and water are added. Car moves under its own power.
