    Hello All,

I’m restoring a 1963 Impala and I have a question a bout the X-frame. If there are any experts out there please respond. My question is; Does anyone think I need to reinforce the X-frame to handle a 500 hp SB 350 or am I good to go with the original Chevrolt desgn?

    Thanks,
    Mike

That would be a good idea, that’s a pretty robust application.
The easiest way to go about that is find a chassis from a
convertible model, that’s what the car-hopper guys do. It’s
a sturdier build than the normal x-frame…
