Steven Vieira's 348 tri-power 1959 Impala Convertible is an example of how a '59 Impala should be restored. The attention to detail on this car is impeccable. It has undergone a full frame-off nut and bolt restoration. This car has 27 factory options, some of which include dual rear antennas, seat belts, power brakes (Moraine) wheel carrier (continental kit), electric clock, grill guard, de-lux heater and defroster, back-up lamps, glove compartment lamp, body mount mirrors, courtesy lamp, 348 c.i. Turbo Thrust V8 with Tri-Carbs, Powerglide transpmission RPO, door handle sheilds, parking brake signal, rear seat speaker, wheel spinners, power steering, PB, windshield washer, floor mats, tissue dispenser, cigarette lighter/lamp, body sill molding, de-lux PB radio, full wheel covers and rear view day/night mirror GM RPO. Note: Steven has recently located a correct 348 fan shroud for the car, which was installed since the some of the pictures pictures were taken. A lso the steering wheel has been repainted back to all-red instead of two-tone. Cars with red interiors did not have a two-tone steering wheel. This car was recently sold to a collector on Long Island who will display it in his personal museum.
